Apex Legends is currently celebrating its two-year anniversary since its release. One of the biggest information updates coming from the anniversary announcements was news regarding the Nintendo Switch release. When news dropped Apex Legends would be available for the Nintendo Switch fans eagerly waited for a date to be announced. Now Respawn has finally set a date for when Apex Legends releases on the Nintendo Switch.



There have been a few small updates regarding the Nintendo Switch release in the past. All signs had pointed to a release coming early in 2021 but with no specific date. A few days ago Chad Grenier, the Game Director on Apex Legends, posted an update on the official website. Apex Legends would be officially launching on the Switch on March 9th, 2021.

In the news release, it was confirmed that full support for cross-platform play. With the Nintendo Switch release coming only a few weeks after the release of Season 8, Switch players will also have a small reward. Switch players will be granted 30 battle pass levels and for the first two weeks of launch, there will be double XP.
