Minecraft is one of those relaxing games you and your friends can jump into and build what you please. Chances are if you ever played on a popular server Hypixel was most likely one of them. Hypixel has had so much success they took it to the next level when they announced a brand new game known as Hytale. Hytale looks like Minecraft and may function as a sandbox game but with RPG elements. On April 16th, 2020 it was announced that Hypixel Studios and Riot Games would be entering a partnership.

So what exactly does this mean for Hytale and Hypixel Studios?

In a press release and FAQ, it was noted that nothing is changing for Hypixel Studios. They will have access to more resources for the development of their game from Riot Games. Hypixel Studios will remain as an independent studio with Riot Games as their parent company. This will also not be affecting the Minecraft multiplayer server Hypixel in any way.

This will also not delay the development of the game as they still plan for a 2021 release. Updates about the game will still be continued on their official blog.

The 2 creators of Hytale, Simon & Noxy, have released letters to the community regarding the new partnership which you can read here.

Plenty of supporters are still eagerly awaiting the beta release of Hytale. The studio being acquired by Riot Games is a great acquisition and will only help the game skyrocket. Don’t believe us then check out the trailer for the game.
