Season 3 of Apex Legends is just days away and with Crypto being the spotlight of the newest season ‘Meltdown’ he has fans guessing as to what might be next for the future of the Apex Games. We learned in a small lore video how the man known as Crypto came to be, learning of the algorithm for the Apex Games, his sister being kidnapped by the Syndicate and him wanting revenge for everything that has happened. Well, it seems with the latest tweet from Apex Legends that a popular fan theory of a new map may just make its way into Season 3 of Apex Legends.

In a previous article, we mentioned the easter eggs put in place to introduce the newest champion and his hacking abilities. From trying to hack in-game to hacking the official Apex Legends Twitter it doesn’t seem to stop there.

Crypto has successfully hacked into the official Apex Legends Twitter page.

On September 24th the official Apex Legends Twitter tweeted out a note looking to be from the hacker know as Crypto. Every so often some of the words change in what seems to be a cryptic message. It seems the message was sent to Crypto’s “mother” but we are guessing it was his sister he was trying to contact.

The words that are glitched are as follows in the cryptic message:

As I’m sure you’ve heard I took your advice and I went to the games. It’s the only way to get close to the people who framed me. All I had to do was distract the syndicate long enough to get crypto credentials into the party. You were right about the qualifying matches. I looked into it and there’s no way I could have gotten in. So I went with Plan B: I took down the repulsor tower. I had no idea it would be so insane. I’m hoping the damage was enough to close Kings Canyon, so I can hitch a ride on the dropship off Solace, and find the evidence I need somewhere in New Dawn.

I just hope I see you one last time and I don’t get blown up before I go off-planet. (Sorry paranoia lead to gallows humor.) Thank you for always being the mom I needed. I’ll be in touch. Try not to worry too much. What’s that you always say? It’s hard to be scared when you’re prepared.

This has led many fans to believe that with the inclusion of the in-game appearance of Crypto in Singh Labs, the space elevator on the screen he leaves behind after fleeing from when you see him and the hint of getting off Solace and heading to New Dawn is enough to suggest we are getting a new map in the next season of Apex Legends.

The name of New Dawn seems to be a reference to ‘Dawn’ a map that was taken from a cancelled TitanFall online game and since it seems Respawn has no problem reviving concepts from TitanFall and adding them into the Apex Legends world, just like they did with Bloodhound, it’s possible that New Dawn will be the next map with Lava and Ice everyone has been theorizing about.
