Apex Legends Legacy has proven to be a hit among players since its launch. While there were a few hiccups during the initial launch most things were fixed pretty quickly. Now that we’ve been given a couple of weeks to see what the meta for Legacy is there are a few updates that are being released. Let’s take a look at the 5/24 update for Apex Legends.
Incoming @playapex update.
We’re restoring the slow effect to Wattson’s fences, introducing leaver penalties to Arenas, improving loot distribution for backpacks, and more!

One of the biggest issues that came up recently was with Valkyrie in the Firing Range. Players were able to record stats with her using an exploit that has now been patched. Two other issues with her ult have also been fixed.
The biggest addition coming from the update is the penalty for leaving in Arenas. This has been added and players will only be punished, similarly to Ranked leaving, if they are in a full squad. There will be a warning before fully leaving the match. Other fixes include exploits being patched where players could buy upgrades without the materials.
Loot has also been updated for backpacks to spawn more evenly in-ground loot. Level 2 Evo Shields have also been given a slight increase in spawn rates. What are your thoughts on the current changes being made to Apex Legends?
